Come on, Pooh Bear!

Is this not how everyone spends their Saturday mornings?

After this video he jumped in the basket and said "um ahhn Nanel" or "Come on, Daniel" for those who don't speak toddler haha.

But first, coffee!

This is the face we get on a rainy morning when we get to school before breakfast is open...

Santa!

Daniel got to meet Santa at the Alumni Keiki Party at Seabury.  No, we're not alums, but I sing at the party so we get to go meet Santa.  He wasn't exactly enthused, but after his initial meeting, Daniel went right up to Santa and climbed in his lap while I was singing.  He still didn't smile, but he sat there contently.  Of course no pictures of that.

An update

Been crazy busy lately.  Tom has some great photos/videos to share since he's been having the most fun with Daniel recently.  I've had weeks of rehearsals, late meetings, etc.  BUT I only have 1 more performance this year!  There's been 8 since December 1, so things have been a bit nuts.

Not sharing Tom's exciting photos/videos today, but just some random ones from the last day or two.  No daycare this week so Daniel and I have been hanging out together at home and at school.

The boys came with me to the doctor yesterday.  New puzzles are always fun!

Then it was to school where he hammed it up for all the "big kids"

Surrounded by pretty middle school girls..

This morning we had a coffee date together.  We successfully used up a gift card.

More soon!

Weekend Adventures

Another weekend with two performances, but at least I didn't have any rehearsals to go to.  Our days were pretty much free and Sunday was my first complete day off since Thanksgiving!  Yeehaw!

On Saturday morning we had perfect beach weather!

We have no pictures from the beach part of the beach since we're busy playing/chasing a toddler.  He LOVES the sand and the waves.  This weekend he would label each wave as a "big wave" or a "baby wave."

Forgot to bring his change of clothes from the car (though I at least remembered a diaper) so he was in a bit of an oversized shirt.

After a big morning at the beach and some lunch, kiddo reached a whole new level of tired.  Put him in the cart at Target and he fell right back asleep.  Impressive.

On Sunday morning we finally decorated our tree.  That was interesting and fun with a curious toddler!  Then we went for a short hike.

After family nap time at home, we went down to Wailea in the evening to see Christmas lights.  We found Santa at some shops.  He was offering free cell phone photos because their equipment was down.  Daniel was NOT a fan and had zero interest in getting close to him.  My shoulder placement seems to imply I felt similarly.

We walked around some hotels to look at their decorations.

Daniel thought it was awesome to get to stay up after dark.  He was so excited on the way home but fell right to sleep once we got him in the crib.  A great weekend!  Now if only I didn't have 2 more rehearsals and 3 performances this coming weekend...

Hot Sauce

As much as we can, we make sure Daniel eats the same dinner as we do.  The only exception is when we add extra veggies to his meal (we should probably do the same for ours) or nights when I have a rehearsal during dinner and all we can manage is to get him fed before I have to run off blah blah blah.

Anyway, Daniel as well is very insistent that he eats exactly what we do...hot sauce included.

For the record, this is chipotle sauce and is more flavorful than hot/spicy.  Also the bottle was basically empty.

He put it on every piece of food on his plate before eating...including his broccoli.

Then he put the top of the bottle in his mouth.

This morning he woke up before 5am.  Then he quickly got to work lining up all of the bottles of vinegar, oil, and...yes...vodka.

Nice List

Happy December!

His shirt claims that he's on the nice list.  And I almost whole-heartedly agree.  The only exception being his sleeping habits the last couple of nights.

Tonight is my big concert so hopefully after today I'll be more human (doubtful).
