Memorial Day Fun/Photoshoot

Had a fun adventure in the Iao Valley this morning.  Daniel and Tom went for a dip in the stream, which was ridiculously fun (and cold).  Daniel especially loved being able to pick up rocks and throw them in the water.

Had to take a break part way through the swim to warm up a bit.

But then it was right back to it!

We also tried to take a few last pregnancy shots.  We really haven't taken many photos at all this time around.  This was me trying to stop laughing because Tom told me to smile with my mouth closed.  Clearly that worked..

It was a particularly fun time this morning.  Daniel had a blast.  So many choices of where to go swimming on this island!  Beach, pool, stream!  Yeehaw!

Old MacDonald

Tonight, in addition to 3 cows and a chicken, Old MacDonald also had a pancake, a hug, and a porcupine on his farm.

You can't make this stuff up.

Trike Time

I've had a busy week with some kind of event or meeting or rehearsal each night.  Leaving this trouble makers in the evening makes me think I miss out on all the fun!

Puzzle

This is literally just a really long video of a kid doing a puzzle.  It's not all that exciting to watch.  Plus the video cuts out before he puts the last two pieces in, but spoiler alert, he finishes the puzzle.

We got Daniel a 4 pack of animal jigsaw puzzles for his birthday last month.  He's now almost a pro at them.  He still mixes a couple of things up, but in general has them memorized I think.

Now if only we can get him to work on them without one of us having to sit on the floor with him...

Chocolate Chips

Sometimes you give your kid a cookie at 6:45am.

Horse

Okay, this is going to turn into a quote blog instead of a picture blog.  Toddlers are hilarious.

First, a little background.  Yesterday evening we went for a walk on Thompson Road and happened to get there as the horses were eating.  It was very exciting!

Then later at dinner, we had this exchange...

Tom:  Daniel, please stop licking your cup.  You're not a horse.
Daniel:  NEIGH!!

Touche.  Perhaps you are a horse.  Or maybe it was a pun and he was saying "nay."  We'll never know.  Either way, he won that argument. 

National Chocolate Chip Day

Me: Daniel, will you help me make some cookies?
D: Yeah! Make cookies!
Me: Great.  We're gonna use flour..
D:  Flour..
Me: Butter..
D: Butter..
Me:  Sugar..
D: Sugar........and potatoes!

Also today...

Daniel in the bath, licking the tub:  Mmm...delicious!

Why he was licking the tub?  I don't know.  Gross, but apparently delicious.

Daniel, as Tom walks in the door from work:  Hi Dada!  It's me, Daniel!
Daniel, as I walk in the door from rehearsal:  Hi Mama!  It's me, Daniel!

Happy Mother's Day!!

A mother that spoils us boys!!  Here's to our Molly!  Thanks for being an awesome mother and friend!  We can't wait to bring our little girl / baby sister into the mix!

Sunday Morning

Checking on the Dutch Baby we made for breakfast.

Quickly retreating to the couch with noise canceling headphones when we were using the food processor.  It's true our food processor is exceptionally loud, but this was pretty funny.

Baby Sister Bed

We played hooky yesterday and didn't go in to work/daycare until around 10am.  It was glorious.  Instead, we played with bubbles in our pjs!

This morning Danny showed us his exercises.

Spent some time in a park this evening, just hanging out.

And playing patty cake.

And finally, a video from a couple weeks ago when we were setting up the bassinet.  I personally love when Danny says "get out of bed" and I do not look or sound amused..
