I don't know how this happened, I think Tom asked Daniel to hold on to the frozen butter while he was trying to put something away in the freezer.

Maui Ocean Center

It was blustery, rainy, and chilly today so we couldn't do much outside.  We decided to finally pay a visit to the Maui Ocean Center.  Thank goodness for kama'aina (local) pricing!

There was so much to explore.  At the first window, Daniel just started babbling, shrieking, and yelling.  It was kind of awesome.

I just love how he and the girl next to him have their arms up.  He's looking at her as if to ask if he's doing it right.  And I have no idea what I'm doing or looking at...

They had some crazy jellyfish.  They were huge, probably about a foot across.  Yuck!

This was a jellyfish that apparently has a fire-like sting, apparently it's really bad.  Daniel immediately put his hand on the glass right next to one.  Don't worry, we made sure to tell him not to do that if he sees one in real life...

It was an awesome field trip!  In a few weeks we're going to Oahu for the weekend and plan to take him to the zoo.  Can't wait!  The kiddo loves animals.

Peek-a-boo!

Daniel has figured out how to use a blanket to play peek-a-boo.

Needless to say, it's pretty fun!

Hoodie

First of all, it was cold this morning...55!  Brr.

Daniel woke up around 5 this morning and I finally gave up and got out of bed with him at 5:30.  So by 7:30, when this picture was taken, he was getting sleepy.

But at least he still had a smile in him!

New Car Seat

Daniel has moved from his infant seat to this snazzy, new convertible seat.

After taking the opportunity to spit up on his brand new seat during the maiden voyage, Daniel has decided that he likes his new ride.

He's getting old!

Boys Night In

The student council had a dance last night, so I was at school from 4:30-11:00 last night.  The gentlemen stayed home and sent me the following pictures.

Imagine getting those texts while spending your Saturday night with a bunch of high school kids.  It was killing me!

Women's March - Maui

This morning was just what the doctor ordered - positive energy and a drive to move forward!  The Women's March - Maui was an awesome event!  We ran into so many people, talked to strangers, and enjoyed standing up for what we believe!

The Maui march was estimated to have 5,000 people, which is a lot for our little island of 140,000.

The energy was really great, lots of people cheering and chanting and cars honking.  Everything was kind, peaceful, and strong - just the way a protest/demonstration should be.

We didn't get to stay for the performance afterwards because Danny hadn't napped and had been up for 5 hours by the time we were finished with the walk. We went home to take a nap.  Apparently the walk was exhausting for this little bean.
