Getting back to basics

Sometimes, to fix a problem, you got to get back to basics.  Danny's wishing y'all a good book to sink your teeth into this Christmas!  Mele Kalikimaka!

Santa Baby

Santa had one too many cookies tonight...

5:35pm and the kiddo fell asleep with no complaints and without me having to go in and calm him down once.  He was pooped.

P.S.  Dear Gerber, what is with your sizing?  I know my kid is large and usually wears 12 month clothing, but this onesie is size 24 months.  What on earth?

Last Performance of 2016!

This is Molly posting as Tom..

Last night was my last performance of 2016!  Oh my goodness.  Never thought I'd get here.  Out of the last 11 weekends, I've had at least one performance on 9 of them.  Most weekends involved 2-3 performances.  To say I'm spent is an understatement.

Daniel Bean and Tom came to the performance last night.  Danny was awake during the entire first act, which kept him up too late, but then fell asleep during intermission.

Now it's time to celebrate our little Christmas tonight and then finish out the semester before we head out to Texas on Thursday!

Yeehaw!

Keiki Christmas Party

I was asked to sing carols at the Seabury Alumini Keiki Christmas Party this morning.  Since I was volunteering, Tom and Danny were invited to the party.  Once I heard Santa was going to be there we decided to put on our Christmas gear and head out!

We took too many pictures!

Unfortunately, Danny fell asleep in the car about 5 minutes before we got to school and then woke up as soon as we opened the car door.  Thus, he was not a huge fan of old Mr. Claus.

Danny and Dad found some Christmas books to sit and read.

Then I had to earn my keep and do some singing.  It was a lot of fun despite my awkward posture in this picture.

It was a really lovely event.  Glad we got to have Danny meet Santa without having to wait in line or pay.  I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of going to a mall to meet Santa, so this was perfect.

All in all, a great Christmas-y morning.

Another Elf

Last day of daycare today before break (though I still have 3.5 days of school).  Anyway, we celebrated by dressing up.

Current mood

Current mood:

Okay, maybe not current as I'm now lying on the couch with a sleeping baby in his crib.  But at 5:00 this was my mood.  I was wearing this boy and carrying my school bag, diaper bag, and breast pump.  We had to walk through the pouring rain to get to the car between a performance and a rehearsal that was going to go past his bed time.  And I have a performance both Friday and Saturday nights.  Thank goodness Tom gets home tomorrow.  I'm ready for this semester to be over.

Also thank goodness this kid was so awesome today.  He had a lot of people hold him and a LOT of people come up to interact with him between the performance this afternoon and rehearsal tonight.  He handled it all like a champ.

That's all she wrote.

If You're Happy and You Know It...

Danny figured out this new trick today!  And he's 8 months old today.  Slow down time, slow down!

Yogurt

Liana is sick today so there is no day care.  Tom and I are taking shifts to take care of this bean.  I'd prefer to just take the day off, but it was a bit last minute.

Either way, I'm happy for some bonus time!  It gives us a chance to get yogurt all over the place!

Back Again!

Phew!  What a crazy week it's been!  My folks and Tom flew in last Thursday evening.  The Seabury Chorus concert was Friday and then we spent many days showing my parents around Maui.

I have more pictures on our camera, but for now, here are some phone photos.

Post concert pass-out.

Hanging out on a lava flow.

Beach time.

Danny has now figured out where we keep our recycling.  Beer bottles soothe his hurting gums it seems because it's the first thing he goes for.

More pictures coming!
