Today I went into Seabury to teach the song for Baccalaureate (why I'm working on my maternity leave is a very long story). Don't worry, I'm volunteering to do it, the school isn't making me go in, and truthfully it was really fun to work with the kids again. Though they were much more interested in meeting Daniel than singing.
He was a champion and displayed lots of cuteness and very little fussiness. The kids didn't get to touch or hold him, but he let a colleague of mine feed and hold him while I played piano.
At one point, he fell asleep in my arms and I put him on the floor. He slept as the kids sang for a good chunk of time. Of course, the kids were very distracted, but in the best way. Here he is, just passed out on the floor as middle school craziness was going on around him.
And for fun, here's a photo from this morning when he was practicing standing.
I know I'm biased, but what a pie!
