Peas 2.0!

The original from January 2017..

And the updated from early February 2019..
(the best laugh is around 1 minute in)

Peas are still hilarious.  And one more little one that I like to loop :-)

Sleep Silliness

"Mama can you fix my hat?  I mean...my shirt!?"  Insert tons of giggles here.

This kid thinks he's sooo funny.  And to be honest, he often is.  But at 8pm, I really wish he'd go to sleep.

Sick

Not sure who started it, but we're all a bit under the weather.  I think Heidi first caught something from daycare and then spread it around.  She had a pretty high fever and stuffy nose.  I'm not happy about it, but I do enjoy that she's cuddly.  Daniel always wanted to sleep on our chests, but Heidi never does so this is a treat!

It's been rain, rain, raining for days now.  All week has been like this..bleh.

I took a day off today to stay home with Heidi.  Daniel is well enough to go to daycare so Heidi has been enjoying the freedom to play with all the toys!

She's feeling better today!

I made some kitchen sink lentils.  Loaded up with tons of veggies so we all get some nutrition tonight!  Gotta fight this cold!

I also just discovered that Heidi cut a tooth!  That could explain some of the fussiness, but I think the fever is unrelated this time.  She's getting so old!

Wrong Feet

Me:  Daniel, did you put your slippers (flip flops for you mainlanders) on by yourself this morning or did Dad help you?
D:  I did it myself!

He gets an A for effort, enthusiasm, and pride!

If You're Happy and You Know It...

And another just for good measure.

Heidi has been working on clapping for the past couple of days.  She's pretty proud of herself!

Haircuts!

This kiddo was due for another haircut.

And me too!

The aftermath.

Christmas Trip (Part 2)

We went to the Frisco Library, but mostly to play!  They have an awesome train and all kinds of cool toys for little ones to play with.

No trip to Frisco would be complete without a stop at Hope Park.  Daniel's face is crazy in this picture.

And definitely no trip to Texas would be complete without a stop at In n Out!  This might be our holiday card for 2019..

Everything really is bigger in Texas.  We stopped at Braum's to get my annual peppermint ice cream cone.  They had a small frozen yogurt for $1, so I thought it'd be nice to get Daniel his own cone.  It was ENORMOUS!  The same size huge waffle cone that I had and the frozen yogurt was piled on super high.  Oy!

Grandpa and Heidi were sizing each other up.  I think it's safe to say they liked each other.

We took a road trip to Subiaco, Arkansas.  We stayed in a huge Air BnB.  It had a pool table...so it turns out we didn't really need to pack toys for Daniel.

Had a great German meal in Arkansas.

Subiaco was about 5+ hours from Valley View, so we had to take some rest stops.

Heidi and Joe were good pals!

It was cold!  So bad I had to put socks on with my sandals!

Playing with costumes and cousins.

Finally back on Maui.

And again, out of order.  Here we are back at the library.

Grandpa let Heidi ride the rocking horse.  It was a hit.

Exploring Tom's high school in Subiaco.

Riding in a car cart!  We had an incident with shop lifting.  Daniel grabbed some peanut M&Ms without us seeing.  Of course we went back in to pay for them.  Guess that's what happens when I can't see the kid!

It was a wonderful trip!  Wish we lived closer, that's for sure.
