We had a great nearly 2 week trip to Texas. Thankfully the weather was not so hot and we got a lot of awesome cousin time!
Our kids were surprisingly great on the planes. Daniel just zones in on the screen the entire time and luckily Heidi slept. Our red eye was empty so we got rows to ourselves. I was able to lay Heidi down on the seats next to me..glorious.
Our flight from LAX to DFW was majorly delayed, which wasn't ideal. Luckily everyone fell asleep on that leg.
Of course we had to go to the splash park multiple times.
We celebrated Heidi's birthday a day early with biscuits and sausage gravy, eggs, mimosas, and cake.
Birthdays are exhausting.
Alex taught Daniel how to ride this bike (with training wheels). I think I know what he might need for Christmas...

The kiddos and I made the obligatory trip to In-n-Out!
We definitely missed Tom, who was in Scotland for work.
Any time I got them to nap at the same time it was cause for celebration.
We got to go to Grandma and Grandpa's farm twice.
We went to an obstacle gym, which both kiddos enjoyed. Impossible to get a clear picture of either of them since they're always moving.

This is what happens when you poop through all the extra clothes I packed on our daytrip to Valley View. You end up in your little sister's extra shorts...
I was worried about the flight home because we had 3 different legs and it was 18 hours door to door...but both kiddos did awesome. Heidi was a champ! Daniel watched TV the entire time (yikes) and only fell asleep as we touched down on Maui..not kidding. He was super well behaved but obviously in a weird funk of watching too much TV and not sleeping enough.
We had a great trip! We're excited to see the Torockovs in just a few short weeks when they come out to Maui for a visit!
